Rowayton, CT – On December 17, 2024, BattleFin Group, a leader in alternative data discovery, announced the acquisition of Exabel, a top-tier alternative data analytics platform. Alongside the acquisition, BattleFin raised $4 million in funding, led by AWC and Jefferies, with prior backing from the London Stock Exchange Group. The funds will drive AI innovation, platform enhancements, and international expansion.
Exabel, established in 2016, delivers advanced tools for analyzing alternative data. With over $21 million invested in its development, the platform integrates more than 65 pre-mapped datasets and enables users to combine these with proprietary data for unique insights. Exabel stands out for its ability to provide immediate value through its models while allowing advanced users to dive deeper into data analysis.
The platform’s capabilities, crafted by experts in mathematics and data science, have set a new standard for alternative data analytics. Its team includes Olympians in mathematics and informatics, as well as former employees of BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, and leading data firms.
Founded in 2012, BattleFin has built a network of over 800 alternative data providers and 300 business clients, aggregating more than 2,800 datasets. The combination of BattleFin’s data catalog and Exabel’s analytical tools aims to create unparalleled value for data buyers and providers.
