Zachary Squire Managing Partner & CIO Tekmerion Capital Management
Zachary Squire is the Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of Tekmerion Capital Management, a systematic global macro fund backed by Mike Novogratz and Alan Howard. Tekmerion’s strategy combines the fundamental insights of a traditional discretionary macro trader with the analytical rigor of a systematic investment manager in a robust, repeatable investment process which trades across asset classes in the developed world to produce uncorrelated absolute returns. Tekmerion brings macro investing into the next generation by utilizing macro fundamentals— both fundamental data and fundamental relationships— in a completely systematic implementation.
Prior to Tekmerion, Mr. Squire traded emerging markets at HBK and worked at Bridgewater Associates. Where he was a member of the “Ray team”!
The “Ray team” directly supported the CIO’s investment strategy research, and headed the Trading Execution Strategy for FX, the firm’s largest asset class. Mr. Squire began his career at D.E. Shaw. Where he reported to Chief Risk Officer. To stand up a new risk measurement and reporting framework across the multistrategy portfolio. He graduated as Valedictorian from Princeton University with a degree in Classics (Latin and Greek).
