Wrapping the Presents
A gift box always brings a special surprise with its wrapping. Moreover, warms the hearts of those who receive!
To have such a unique appearance of the present, we should choose the most suitable wrapping materials. Especially for a friend’s birthday, the wrapping style is completely different from usual. I picked a lively and warm color, salmon pink, to be the theme color of the present wrapping.
However, it is still not enough to reveal my heart.
To start with, take a brand-new wrapping paper, existing a bright color, spread it out from the cylinder-shape paper roll and then flatten it on the pale wooden desk.
A beam of soft light enters the room and surrounds the paper, creating a regular reflected pattern due to the paper’s smoothness and slight curl.
Besides the paper, silver scissors and a few short pencils are also necessary for completing the job. After putting the present box on the center of the paper, I draw an unobvious line at the even-distance position to the edge of the present box with the pencil.
Now, scissors play an important role!
Which will make the gift wrapping neater and simpler. A crispy sound emits when cutting off excess parts of paper, serving as a pleasant background music for my work.
Following up cutting, there comes wrapping and folding. After rounding up the present box with the modified paper, I use tape to enclose splitting parts and thereby glued paper to the gift box. Folding is also interesting. The way to fold depends on the shape of the present.
Now, after the paper stabilizes around the present box. There are still two sides exposing in air without cover.
The process is similar on both sides, only in opposite directions. Swiftly folding each side up. The two sides get covered with a gentle touch of tape. Vaguely, a kind of perfume comes out from my fingers. Which is passed from the scent of paper and ink. All those steps are processed quite warily and toilful. But within the trouble. I gained delight and a joyful feeling.
