Tito Mejia Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Alberto Butler “Tito” Mejia. Who passed away on April 9th, 2010 at the young age of 26. Tito was born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1984 and spent much of his life in the United States.

Tito was a beloved member of his family and a cherished friend to all who knew him. An accomplished student and athlete. And his warm and friendly personality made him a standout in every community he was a part of.

Tito attended The Buckley School and Deerfield Academy, where he excelled both academically and athletically. He then went on to study economics at Trinity College. Where he was a dedicated member of the men’s swimming and water polo teams.

Tragically, Tito’s life became cut short in 2010 when he drowned in Antigua. His passing was a devastating loss to his family and friends. As well as the communities he had been a part of throughout his life.

Laid to rest in the Royal Poinciana Chapel Columbarium in Palm Beach, Florida. While he is no longer with us. However, his memory lives on in the countless lives he touched during his time with us. We honor his memory by striving to live our lives with the same warmth, kindness. And dedication to excellence that he exemplified every day of his life.
