It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Walz, 62, of Nesconset, New York, who tragically died in a house fire on Monday, October 14, 2024. The blaze broke out at approximately 5:25 p.m. at his home on Highland Place. First responders rushed to the scene following a 911 call and were able to extract Thomas from the house. Despite their efforts, Thomas was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Thomas was a longtime resident of Nesconset and known for his kindness and love for his community. His sudden and tragic loss has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and neighbors.
