The Ongoing Integration Of AI Into Real Estate
Technology / Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning / Real Estate

Artificial intelligence is making subtle changes to the face of businesses across the world, and is even making waves in real estate. As Entrepreneur highlights, there are already a number of interesting and timely interventions by AI into real estate, but they are mainly, at this stage, trimming around the edges. While that is often the case for AI integration – dealing with quick wins before moving onto wholesale change – there are examples in a number of key housing markets as to the effectiveness and innovation that AI is already capable of.
Reforming Canada
Canada, historically, has a relatively low-key real estate market. According to British surveyors Savills, it doesn’t even feature in the global top ten – below competitors including Russia and italy. That said, there has been a concerted effort by planners to elevate the quality of the Canadian market, with prime rates reducing year on year from 1975 onwards. AI is now being applied to the question of broadening this market and improving its appeal. According to CBC Canada, the use of AI modeling is helping to construct sophisticated and well detailed profiles of neighborhoods across both established urban markets and emerging rural and semi-urban communities. This makes for a more attractive market for investors and the opportunity for the Canadian market to rise above other competitors and establish itself as a formidable option within the real estate investment scene.
Data integrity in Germany
Over in Europe, and PricewaterhouseCoopers are estimating that AI-based innovations will be responsible for an 11 point GDP growth by 2030. Within real estate, AI is helping chiefly through combining data sets and redeploying them in a smart fashion. What does that mean? Primarily, it’s in how customers are dealt with. Using AI, finely detailed customer demands and details can be rapidly and accurately notated before being used to generate leads, or to enhance the customer experience. This precise control over customer data and how to turn it towards better outcomes is a proof of concept for AI in that market, and inspiration for other countries.
Integrating dimensions in Britain
A review of AI based innovation by auditors KPMG in the UK noted a crucial area in which AI is making a difference. Currently, laser and video imaging allows real estate agents to provide a more clear view of a property to clients. Where AI can step in is through engaging a greater degree of automation on that process. It can provide quick and detailed imaging of a property, and automatically highlight areas of issue, or improvement. Automated modelling means that real estate businesses can offer immediately a more exciting presentation to clients, improving sale rates and driving up competition.
These examples are just a handful of the success stories in the interface of AI and real estate. More is being done every day to help advance intelligent automation into the industry. This, in turn, creates more quality for investors, and a better guarantee of returns.
