GREENSBORO, N.C. — A fatal shooting occurred Thursday afternoon on the 1600 block of Van Wert Street, prompting an emergency response from Greensboro Police, Fire, and Guilford County EMS. Authorities arrived around 12:45 p.m. and found 23-year-old Shango Adams in a driveway with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Greensboro Police Department has confirmed that the case is being investigated as a homicide. While the next of kin have been notified, no details about potential suspects or motives have been released at this time.
