Sean Stiefel is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Navy Capital, a hedge fund specializing in the global cannabis sector. He established the firm in 2016 and assumed the CEO role in 2019.
Before founding Navy Capital, Mr. Stiefel gained extensive experience in finance and investment:
- Research Analyst and Trader at Northwoods Capital Management Partners, a global long/short hedge fund focused on technology, media, and telecommunications.
- Associate at Millennium Partners, working within an equity long/short fund.
- Equities Trading Analyst at Barclays Capital, where he began his career.
In 2017, Mr. Stiefel launched the Navy Capital Green Fund, the first U.S.-based long/short equity fund dedicated to cannabis investments.
Mr. Stiefel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
In addition to his role at Navy Capital, he serves on the Board of Directors for GrowGeneration Corp., a leading specialty retail hydroponic and organic gardening store chain.
