The Statesboro community is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Scott Sanders, a cherished Physician Assistant at Optim Orthopedics. Scott, 54, passed away on Sunday afternoon at East Georgia Regional Medical Center after experiencing a cardiac event at his home.
Scott was a dedicated healthcare professional known for his compassionate care and commitment to his patients. Many in our community came to know Scott through his work with Dr. John Hodges, and later with Dr. Don Aaron following Dr. Hodges’ retirement. His expertise and kindness left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of being under his care.
Scott’s passing left a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends. In addition, patients. Social media became inundated with heartfelt tributes. Thus, reflecting the significant impact he had on so many lives. His presence truly a blessing. Additionally, he will become deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survived by his loving family, who will forever cherish the memories of his warmth, dedication, and the joy he brought into their lives.
