Rowan M Morey Michigan Obituary
In Loving Memory of Rowan Morey
Beloved Son, Brother, and Joyful Spirit
2017 – 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Rowan Morey, aged 6, who was taken from this world far too soon on August 19, 2024. Rowan’s vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless energy brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. As his family grapples with this unimaginable loss, they are determined to honor his memory by advocating for change to protect other children.
Rowan was a bright and delightful little boy whose laughter could light up any room. His infectious giggles and playful nature brought joy to everyone around him. Rowan had a unique ability to find humor in the simplest of things, turning even the dullest moments into joyful adventures. Whether he was cracking jokes or making silly faces, he had a special talent for bringing smiles to those around him.
Rowan shared a special bond with his momma, Brandi Morey-Pols, who was his greatest supporter and confidante. Their connection was filled with love, laughter, and countless comforting back tickles that soothed him to sleep. Those quiet, precious moments together will be treasured forever. In addition to his love for Pokémon, Rowan had recently developed a passion for golf. He often spent time in the backyard, swinging his little club with dreams of becoming a champion. His enthusiasm for the game was evident, and he loved sharing his newfound skills with family and friends. Rowan cherished spending time with his siblings, Bailey (Karlie), Shelby (Ethan), Aiden, Merik, and Bryson, with whom he shared countless joyful hours.
Rowan will be deeply missed by his parents, Brandi and Brian Pols; his grandparents, Karen Morey, and Jerry and Sally Pols; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his papa, Milford Morey.
Tragically, Rowan’s life was cut short in an incident that has left his family and community heartbroken. Rowan was found dead in Chippewa Township, the victim of an apparent murder-suicide at the hands of his father, Michael Winchell. Despite the unbearable pain, Rowan’s mother, Brandi Morey-Pols, is determined to turn her grief into action.
