Primer Classes On Probability Risk Statistics Data & More!

For those who do not know, Primers traditionally emerged to help RWRI ( participants to better self-orient in the notions of “probability”, “risk”, “statistics”, “data” etc.; to look at the practical applicability of math both in everyday life and in financial operations; to revive their skills of calculation and modeling.

While the programs of the two initial courses (Primer on Practical Probability and Primer on Dynamic Processes) remain unchanged, the newest addition – Primer on Artificial Intelligence – that gained much attention and praise after its introduction in February 2023, will have a new distinguished speaker and another day of learning – and will cost a bit more.

As usual, all Primers complement each other, but are not interconnected and could absolutely be attended separately.

Apart from RWRI participants, the Primers would be beneficial for:

·       Business owners, entrepreneurs and managers who have to envision and practically calculate their risks

·       Anyone dealing with trading personally or professionally

·       MS and PhD students, researchers performing scientific simulations

·       Engineers who use modeling and tests in work – to be able to set and read their results correctly

·       Intellectual refreshment and analytical abilities boost

·       Anyone who does predictions (except for politics aka palm reading)

1)     Primer on Practical Probability ( on September 18-20 at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm EST (New York time) feat. Pasquale Cirillo (

2)     Primer on Dynamic Processes ( on September 21-22 & 25 at 8:30 am to 12:30 pm EST (NYC time)

3)     Primer on AI & Machine Learning ( – attention! – four days now – on September 26-29 at 9:00 am to 1:00 pm EST (NYC time) feat. Patrice Kiener (, Thomas Barrau and Igor Halperin!

Requirements for participation are simple:

·       Open mind eager to learn

·       Attending Primers do not require any extraordinary level of knowledge – sophomore level of university math, physics, engineering, or computer science… or self-taught comprehension and appreciation for these subjects

·       Prior participation to RWRI lectures is not necessary

·       Minimum age is 18 years old

As before, we issue invoices and graduation certificates for executive education. There’s a cumulative discount for all three courses. Students, incl. PhD’s can apply for partial scholarship (subject for approval).

And if you have already attended any of the Primers and want to refresh it for the second/third time, there’s always a 50% off the same course.

All Primers are held online over Zoom and imply dynamic interaction with participants and instructors.
