The Nevada State Police have released new details about a fatal crash that occurred on October 24 at the intersection of I-580 and Eastlake Boulevard. Authorities report that at approximately 11:30 a.m., 66-year-old Patrick Pearson of Minden was driving his 2007 GMC Yukon southbound on I-580 when he lost control of the vehicle. The Yukon veered off the main roadway, drifting onto the right shoulder and setting off a chain of collisions.

Over the next 4,500 feet, Pearson’s vehicle repeatedly struck a concrete barrier lining the roadside.
