It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Melodye R. Fagan, 69, of Granite City, Illinois, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
Melodye was involved in a fatal crash near the interchange of Illinois 255 and Fosterburg Road. For reasons still unknown, her vehicle left the roadway, traveled into a ditch, up a hill, and ultimately struck a tree. Despite efforts to save her, Melodye was pronounced dead at the scene.
Melodye will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. She touched the lives of many in her community, and her sudden passing has left a void in the hearts of her family and friends.
