It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Melody A. Rooks, age 33, who was senselessly killed in a shooting on August 18, 2024, in the Hazelwood neighborhood. Melody’s life was taken far too soon in an act of violence, leaving her family and friends devastated by the loss.
Melody was a loving daughter, sister, and friend, known for her bright smile, warm heart, and compassionate nature. She touched the lives of many and was deeply cherished by her loved ones. Melody’s presence brought joy to those around her, and her memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration to those who knew her.
Her family has requested privacy during this incredibly difficult time as they mourn the loss of their beloved Melody. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
