Marcie worked as a pediatric nurse, a role in which she touched many lives beyond her immediate family. “And all those babies were her babies. She has touched so many people, even those we didn’t know she knew,” Johnson added, emphasizing the widespread impact Marcie had on her community.

In the wake of this tragic event, the family has partnered with Copiah Bank and GoFundMe to accept donations. The funds will become used to support her three sons. Moreover, as they navigate life without their mother. “There are a lot of bills and expenses that have accumulated, and it’s mainly to ensure her children have what they need,” Johnson explained.

Furthermore, the Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident to determine the circumstances leading up to the accident.
