LSEG Partners with Databricks to Deliver AI-Ready Financial Data Through Delta Sharing
The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) has announced a new partnership with data and AI platform Databricks to make its extensive financial datasets available directly within the Databricks ecosystem. The move will enable financial institutions to combine LSEG’s trusted market data with their own enterprise data and accelerate the development of AI-powered tools for analytics, trading, and risk management.
A Shift Toward AI-Driven Finance
Through the collaboration, LSEG will provide access to its datasets via Delta Sharing, Databricks’ open-source data sharing technology. This integration is designed to help firms eliminate the need for slower, batch-based data transfers by offering secure, real-time access to critical market information.
Financial teams will be able to pair raw tick history, reference data, and enterprise datasets to create AI production agents capable of supporting decision-making across areas such as investment research, compliance, and portfolio management.
Initial Rollout and Future Expansion
The first wave of data available through this partnership will include LSEG’s Lipper Fund data and analytics as well as its cross-asset historical analytics. Over time, LSEG plans to expand the offering to include a wide range of additional content, such as pricing, models, estimates, fundamentals, economics, and broader reference datasets.
Emily Prince, group head of analytics and AI at LSEG, described the partnership as a milestone in the company’s data delivery strategy:

“This collaboration with Databricks is a major step in bringing our trusted data to the environments where our customers are building. By offering these datasets through Databricks Marketplace, we’re enabling financial institutions to unlock new insights, improve efficiency, and strengthen compliance.”
Empowering AI Workflows
The integration is also expected to make it easier for financial institutions to build and deploy AI tools at scale. According to Stephen Orban, senior vice president of product ecosystem and partnerships at Databricks, the demand for high-quality, AI-ready data continues to grow.
“Together with LSEG, we’re giving customers the ability to create intelligent agents that can analyse trends, automate routine workflows, and deliver actionable insights in real time,” he said. “By leveraging Delta Sharing, firms gain flexibility and avoid vendor lock-in while working with live financial data.”
The LSEG-Databricks partnership underscores a broader shift in financial services toward cloud-native platforms and AI-driven workflows. By aligning trusted financial data with enterprise AI capabilities, the collaboration aims to help firms innovate faster, adapt to volatile markets, and achieve a new standard in data governance and compliance.
