Philadelphia Police Investigating Death of 61-Year-Old Woman Found Wrapped in Plastic in Her Bustleton Home
Philadelphia police are investigating the death of 61-year-old Lola Karabaeva, whose body was found wrapped in plastic and hidden in a closet in her Bustleton home earlier this week. Officers made the discovery on Wednesday at her residence on Diplomat Place, according to the Philadelphia Police Department.
Her husband, 65-year-old Vladimir Lushevskiy, has been charged with abuse of a corpse. Authorities have indicated that additional charges may follow, depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation, which is being spearheaded by homicide detectives.
This case is further complicated by the couple’s history of personal tragedy. Nearly 20 years ago, in 2004, their 19-year-old son, Evgeniy “Eugene” Lushevskiy, disappeared while hiking on Mount Baldy in California during a gap-year trip. The circumstances of his disappearance remain unresolved.
As the investigation into Karabaeva’s death continues, police are working to uncover the full details surrounding this disturbing case.
