It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Kwesi Miller, aged 31, who was fatally shot on the evening of August 28, 2024, in Southeast Washington D.C. Kwesi was found by Metropolitan Police Department officers after responding to a report of a shooting on the 5000 block of H Street. Despite the best efforts of DC Fire and EMS and medical staff, Kwesi succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Kwesi, who had no fixed address, was known for his resilient spirit and kind heart. He touched the lives of many with his warmth and generosity, even in the face of life’s challenges. His sudden and senseless passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding this heartbreaking incident, and Kwesi’s family and friends are left to mourn the loss of a life taken far too soon.
Funeral arrangements for Kwesi will be announced by his family in the coming days. The Miller family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support, love, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
