QuantVision 2026: Fordham’s Quantitative Conference

Kelly Ye is one of the most accomplished quantitative investors and product innovators of her generation, with a career spanning global investment banks, leading asset managers, digital asset pioneers, and multi asset hedge funds. As Deputy CIO of Avenir Group, she plays a central role in shaping investment strategy, portfolio construction, and research direction at one of the most forward thinking firms operating at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets.

Kelly brings nearly two decades of experience across quantitative research, portfolio management, derivatives structuring, and asset allocation. Prior to joining Avenir Group, she served as Portfolio Manager and Head of Research at Decentral Park Capital, where she led investment strategy and research efforts across crypto and multi asset markets. Her work helped advance institutional grade portfolio frameworks in one of the most rapidly evolving segments of global finance.

Earlier, Kelly served as Head of Product for Fidelity Digital Asset Management, where she drove product strategy and investment development efforts across multiple investment styles and vehicles. In this role, she worked extensively across both traditional financial institutions and the crypto ecosystem, helping bridge the gap between traditional finance and decentralized finance. She also served as Head of Research at CoinDesk Indices, where she played a key role in advancing institutional benchmarks and research infrastructure for digital asset investing.

Her experience in traditional asset management is equally distinguished. As Director of Research at IndexIQ, the ETF platform for New York Life Investments, she led research, portfolio construction, and product innovation across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi asset strategies. Before that, she was Head of Quantitative Investment for Strategic Asset Allocation at New York Life and MainStay Investments, where she led teams developing institutional asset allocation models and customized investment solutions.

Kelly began her career in global investment banking and credit markets, serving as Senior Fixed Income Strategist at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where she led quantitative research for credit portfolios and advised on tens of billions of dollars in institutional assets. She also held roles as a credit derivative structurer at BNP Paribas and worked in mortgage and asset backed securities research and trading at Deutsche Bank and Citigroup.

In addition to her investment leadership, Kelly has been deeply involved in advancing the investment profession. She served for over six years as a Board Member of CFA Society New York and has advised graduate students at Columbia University and Baruch College. She is also Co Founder of the Chinese Culture and Career Club, which supports the development of Chinese finance professionals, and has contributed to Women in ETFs through its Speaker Bureau Committee.

Kelly holds a Master’s degree in Operations Research and completed the Financial Engineering program at MIT Sloan School of Management, where she developed the quantitative and computational foundation that would define her career. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Peking University, one of the world’s leading academic institutions.

Across traditional finance, quantitative investing, and digital assets, Kelly Ye has consistently operated at the frontier of innovation, helping shape how modern portfolios are constructed, managed, and scaled in an increasingly data driven and technologically sophisticated global market.
