It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Jymel Dejuan Smith, 49, of Clermont, Florida, who lost his life in a hit-and-run accident on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Greenwich Township, Pennsylvania.
Jymel had stopped his tractor-trailer on the right-hand shoulder of I-78 westbound near mile marker 41.5 and exited his vehicle when he was struck by a passing motorist. Tragically, the motorist did not stop at the scene or notify authorities of the incident. Jymel was pronounced dead at the scene.
