No.
The Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), established in 1957, is a public institution of higher education in Baja California, Mexico.
While UABC holds accreditation from Mexico’s Ministry of Public Education (SEP), it does not possess institutional accreditation from U.S. accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
However, UABC has achieved international recognition for specific programs. Moreover, in May 2023, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) in the United States accredited 11 of UABC’s undergraduate programs in business and computer science for a ten-year period (2023-2033).
Additionally, several engineering programs at UABC have obtained the EUR-ACE seal, awarded to high-quality engineering programs in Europe and other countries, for complying with the quality standards of the European Accreditation Network for Engineering Education (ENAEE).
For individuals planning to use their UABC degrees in the United States, it’s essential to consult with specific U.S. institutions or employers to determine recognition and acceptance. Engaging with credential evaluation services can provide assessments of how UABC’s degrees compare to U.S. qualifications.
