Nagpur, June 1, 2025 — The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur celebrated the rich legacy of Hindi literature with the formal launch of two short story collections by esteemed author Kumud Chaturvedi. The event, held on campus, was led by IIM Nagpur Director Dr. Bhimaraya Metri and attended by faculty, students, staff, and a host of literature enthusiasts.

The newly released titles, Kiski Jeet, Kiski Haar and Nainon Ki Aas, explore the intricacies of human emotions and relationships. In his keynote address, Dr. Metri praised the author’s work for its emotional honesty and timeless relevance. “These stories are vivid reflections of life’s journey. They remind us that failure is not a defeat but a vital step toward learning,” he remarked, adding that challenges often spark innovation—a sentiment echoed through a quote by Jawaharlal Nehru.

The launch drew praise from other notable attendees. Mr. Vivek Shrouti, General Manager at Evonith Steel, Wardha, described the books as powerful contributions to contemporary Hindi storytelling. “Ms. Chaturvedi’s ability to weave layered human experiences into fiction reflects not only literary skill but deep wisdom,” he said.

Professor Rakesh Gupta of IIM Nagpur added, “Her works transcend generational divides. They reflect a vibrant literary spirit that continues to inspire.”

Renowned critic and literary figure Ms. Rati Chaubey highlighted the social depth of Chaturvedi’s narratives. “These stories reveal a profound understanding of human behavior and offer essential commentary on societal values,” she said.

In a warm and gracious response, Ms. Chaturvedi expressed her gratitude to the Institute. “This support from IIM Nagpur honors both my work and the wider cause of Hindi literature,” she said. “It is heartening to see such academic institutions nurturing literary voices.”

The evening underscored IIM Nagpur’s broader commitment to promoting cultural and literary engagement. As Hindi literature continues to evolve, events like these affirm the enduring power of storytelling across generations.
