IBM’s CodeNet Could Revitalize Techniques For Modernizing Legacy Systems!

IBM Research Chief Scientist

IBM’s CodeNet Could Revitalize Techniques For Modernizing Legacy Systems! During the summer of 2021 and at NeurIPS’21, IBM Research presented its work on CodeNet. Moreover, a massive high quality data set of code samples and problems to help spur innovation in AI for Code! We believe that it has the potential to revitalize techniques for modernizing legacy systems. Furthermore, helping developers write better code, and enable AI systems to help code the computers of tomorrow.

In addition, it is great to see IBM CodeNet helping researchers at DeepMind advance the art of possible with AlphaCode in automated competitive programming (CodeNet as the training data)!

Project CodeNet for the AI research and developer community to build AI for Code, containing 14M code samples in 55+ programming languages. In addition, 500M Lines of Code, it’s a very high quality dataset (containing test data for code problems as well), that can tackle a diversity of coding tasks: from code translation, to code similarity and beyond..

In conclusion, the entire Project CodeNet Team across IBM Research and MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab worked hard for the successful Open Release of CodeNet!!!
