Due to the global impacts of previous cyber warfare activities in eastern Europe, many cyber security professionals are bracing for potential direct or indirect cyber impacts of the Ukrainian Conflict.  Companies need to look no further than the documented impacts of NotPetya and related malware that hit global companies to over $1 Billion USD in damages in a few companies alone.

The cyber weapons deployed in the region for military goals, often have unintended impacts on companies and countries far distant from the original target.

The time to consider the physical or cyber components related to these issues for enterprise risk is now.

Also consider increased diligence around any monitoring for and addressing soonest. Any alerts on zero days, critical vulnerabilities. Or other cyber warnings related to this geo-political event to hopefully mitigate the potential. That your company is inadvertently caught up in the collateral damage of offensive cyber activities.
