Firstly, the biggest problem I have with clients is “Data Quality Mismatch.” Companies want to use data they have already collected, for some simpler product *(i.e billing data), to do AI.

All too frequently, this simply does not work.
Moreover, one of the least effective Enterprise ideas I have heard being sold around town is “Democratizing Data. ” All this means is the data scientist will spend all their time trying to clean, debug, in addition reverse engineer what was put into the Data Lake, again, this simply does not work.
Self-service data sounds great to IT management. But governance requires real resources and effort. Furthermore, what happens frequently in practice is that some executive wants to -re-use existing low-quality data. Thusly, that think it is some kind of exploitable asset, but without making the effort to improve the quality necessary for the ML/AI products they want to build to leverage it. Moreover, if they have to make the investment, then the data itself was not really as valuable as they thought.
Lastly, if you want to do AI, ML, or even basic Data Science, the data quality actually matters.
