Obituary: Gregory A. Hoskins
Gregory A. Hoskins, 67, of Mascoutah, IL, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Born on October 25, 1956, in Streator, IL, Greg was a cherished member of his community.
Greg was the proud owner and operator of Better Newspapers, Inc. He was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mascoutah and dedicated significant time to the Mascoutah Improvement Association. His interests included avid coin collecting and a deep appreciation for the visual arts. Greg’s greatest joy was traveling the world with his beloved wife, Linda. Together, they visited 26 countries across six continents. Above all, Greg treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Donna (née Benner) Hoskins, his grandson, Lincoln Hoskins, and his brothers, Scott and Jeff Hoskins.
Moreover, Greg leaves behind his wife, Linda M. (née Dunbar) Hoskins, whom he married on April 25, 1981, in Streator, IL. He is also survived by his children: Emily Hoskins (Cody Campbell) of Nashville, TN; Scott Hoskins of Belleville, IL; and Mark Hoskins (Kailee Ranes-Hoskins) of Altamont, IL. Greg’s legacy includes his four grandchildren: Serenity, Barrett, Harper, and Oliver.
