Gerry was reported missing and, after extensive search efforts by multiple agencies, his body was recovered on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Gerry was a beloved husband, father, and friend, known for his love of the water and the outdoors. He was a kind and compassionate man who touched the lives of everyone around him with his generosity and warm spirit. His sudden loss leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends.
Gerry’s family expresses their gratitude to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Marine Patrol, divers, and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for their dedication and efforts in bringing him home.
