It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ethan Harrell, aged 16, who tragically lost his life in a UTV side-by-side crash early Sunday morning, August 25th, 2024, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
Ethan was a dedicated student-athlete at his local high school in Inman, where he was well-loved by his teammates, coaches, and friends. He had a passion for sports, adventure, and the outdoors, and his determination on and off the field was admired by all who knew him. Ethan was not only an exceptional athlete but also a kind-hearted young man who brought light and joy to everyone around him. His bright smile and boundless energy were a source of comfort and happiness for his friends and family.
In the early hours of Sunday morning, Ethan was riding in an off-road side-by-side vehicle with two others on Hardin Road near Henry Road when the vehicle tragically went off the road and overturned. Despite the best efforts of first responders, Ethan sadly succumbed to his injuries.
The loss of Ethan has left a void in the hearts of his loved ones, his school, and the wider community. His family is devastated by the sudden and heartbreaking loss of such a bright and promising young man. They are leaning on their faith and the support of those around them to get through this incredibly difficult time.
Ethan’s memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and teammates, who will remember him as a loving son, loyal friend, and talented athlete. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact he made will never be forgotten.
