Disney witnessed their box office fortunes plummet as a result of adopting hyper wokeness in all of their movies. It is impossible to watch a Disney film and not feel the wokeness becoming slammed down your throat immediately.

Bob Iger, who resumed his role as CEO of Disney a year ago, recently emphasized his commitment to rejuvenating the company’s film division. This follows a period of underwhelming box office performances, with films like “The Marvels” and “Wish” not meeting expectations. Iger acknowledged that Disney’s shift towards streaming services during the pandemic had altered audience expectations, making home viewing a more attractive and cost-effective option compared to theater experiences.

Iger pointed out that the quality of Disney’s productions had suffered since the introduction of Disney+. Especially within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Furthermore, the pandemic further complicated matters by limiting executive oversight on production sets. Iger, who had initially stepped down as CEO in early 2020. However, remained as executive chairman, returned to the CEO position after Bob Chapek was released from the role.

Despite these challenges, Iger defended Disney’s historical performance in the film industry. Moreover, noting its previous dominance and high box office standards. However, he acknowledged the need for more realistic expectations moving forward. For example, the company’s recent productions like “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3,” “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and others, while successful, did not reach the billion-dollar mark that had become a benchmark for Disney.

Iger also spoke about Disney’s struggles with certain franchise films, citing lower-than-expected earnings for movies like “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” and “Lightyear.” He stressed the importance of being more selective with sequels and focusing on storytelling quality over commercial interests.

Looking ahead, Disney plans to release several new titles, including “Deadpool 3,” “Inside Out 2,” and “Mufasa: The Lion King,” as part of its strategy to revitalize its film studio and reconnect with audiences.
