Did Elon Musk buy Twitter?
According to a regulatory filing today, Tesla CEO Elon Musk now owns 9.2% of social media giant, Twitter. Moreover, this comes after frequent criticism by the world’s richest man, of the site.
Elon has had his share of ups and downs, including his famous “funding secured” tweet that cost him an SEC fine!
Apparently, the purchase is classified as a passive investment. As a result, we shouldn’t expect Elon to takeover the whole company anytime soon. But, perhaps it sends a message to Twitter. That in fact there is a new ‘big brother’ watching their actions.
Elon Musk has a large array of investments that include Tesla of course. In addition, to Solar City, which he acquired a few years back. And his Neuralink brain implant startup, already claims a cult-like following among its potential future customers. Moreover, Elon has made claims that Neuralink will offer true virtual reality to human beings before the Metaverse does. This is a tweet a few months back.
In conclusion, is it possible Elon changes his tune and acquires the remaining 90% of Twitter? We shall see.
