A tragic incident occurred Thursday night in northwest Houston when 41-year-old Desire Pool was fatally struck by a Houston Police Department cruiser as she crossed the street with three of her children. The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Antoine Drive near Golden Forest.
The marked HPD unit, containing two officers, was traveling southbound on Antoine Drive to transport a narcotics suspect who had been detained earlier in the evening. According to authorities, the officers were on duty when the fatal collision occurred.
