Cost of Attending?

As of the time of writing, the total fees for the two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), the flagship programme of IIM Rohtak, is about INR 15.8 lakhs. This cost includes tuition, lodging, books and materials, etc. However, students should also account for personal expenses and the cost of optional international immersion programmes.
Cost of Living:
Rohtak is a city in the northern Indian state of Haryana. The cost of living in Rohtak is lower than in larger Indian cities like Delhi or Mumbai, but students should consider expenses such as off-campus dining, travel, and personal expenses.
School’s History and Divisions:
IIM Rohtak was the eighth IIM to be established, opening in 2010. Despite being one of the newer IIMs, the institute has made significant strides in a short period. The school offers a range of programs including the PGPM, Executive PGPM (for working professionals), a Fellowship Programme in Management (FPM), and a five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) for students after high school.

Although IIM Rohtak, like other IIMs, is primarily a business school, it does offer courses that integrate technology and analytical skills in its curriculum. This includes courses in Quantitative Methods, Operations, and Information Systems, which are part of its PGPM curriculum.
What It’s Known For:
IIM Rohtak is known for its strong focus on leadership, ethics, and innovation. It emphasizes case-based learning to provide a holistic perspective to its students. Despite being relatively new, it has maintained a strong placement record, attracting some of the top recruiters in various sectors including Consulting, Finance, Sales and Marketing, Operations, General Management, and IT.
In summary, while IIM Rohtak may not yet have the long-standing history of older IIMs like Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta, it still offers a high-quality management education. It is rapidly building its reputation and is an institution to consider for those pursuing a career in management. As with any major decision, prospective students should consider their own career aspirations, financial situation, and personal preferences in addition to these factors.
