The ClimaTech project will unveil a global framework for infrastructure resilience and decarbonisation in a public webinar on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The session runs at 9pm SGT, 2pm CET, 1pm GMT, and 8am EST, and targets asset owners, investors, policymakers, and researchers who need a clearer path through climate risk and regulatory complexity.

ClimaTech’s pitch is simple and urgent. A large share of global infrastructure value is vulnerable to climate-driven weather shocks without adaptation, with tens of billions already facing devaluation risk from poor alignment to sustainability criteria and hundreds of billions more exposed to regulatory uncertainty. Despite this, fewer than one in three major infrastructure companies disclose credible transition or resilience plans. ClimaTech aims to close that gap with a single, comparable, science-based repository of what works.

Developed over two years and supported by eight peer-reviewed studies, the platform synthesizes engineering, financial, and regulatory insights into one evidence-led database. The team says the tool is designed to help decision-makers benchmark options, compare cost and effectiveness across sectors, and map strategies to evolving policy regimes.

The webinar will open with an overview of why the market needed a standardized method to identify strategies that reduce both transition and physical climate risks. Speakers will then explain how the database was built, how strategies are evaluated, and how cross-disciplinary inputs were combined to produce comparable guidance. The agenda includes examples of how the framework can support users in academia, government, and investment, with sector-specific cases such as data centers.

A dedicated segment will focus on aligning investment decisions with regulation. The team plans to demonstrate how findings can be mapped to the EU Taxonomy and other sustainable finance priorities, a recurring pain point for infrastructure owners seeking to raise capital or maintain access to public markets.

The program will also feature a portfolio case study to show the tool in action, from risk screening to targeted mitigation and budgeting. Attendees will see the current prototype dashboard and hear what is planned next for the platform’s development and public availability.

Nishtha Manocha, Ph.D., project lead at the EDHEC Climate Institute, and Conor Hubert, a sustainability research engineer at the institute, will deliver the presentations and field questions. Both have worked on the underlying research and on translating findings into practical decision support for operators and investors.
