Maryville Mourns the Loss of Professor Clifford Wilke
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague and faculty member, Professor Clifford Wilke. Cliff was a dedicated educator, an inspiring mentor, and a cherished member of the Maryville community.
Professor Wilke served as the Program Director for Graduate Cybersecurity, advocating for academic excellence while passionately supporting his students. His commitment to diversity in technology was evident through his recent work with the Cybersecurity Summer Institute in July. Cliff’s extensive experience as CIO and CTO at organizations such as United Health Group, the US Department of Homeland Security/TSA, and Mobile Oil Credit Corporation greatly enriched our program. Under his leadership, our program achieved the prestigious NSA Center of Academic Excellence designation. His contributions to the university and the countless lives he impacted will be remembered with great admiration and respect.
During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to Cliff’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Arrangements will be announced as they become available.
