77-Year-Old Man Identified in Fatal Fort Wayne Crash
FORT WAYNE, IN — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified Charlie Morris Jr., 77, of Fort Wayne, as the victim in a fatal two-car crash near downtown on Saturday afternoon, September 21.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Maumee and Grant Avenues. According to Fort Wayne police, officers arriving at the scene found one adult male driver lying outside of his car and another adult male driver pinned inside his vehicle. Both men were transported to a local hospital, where Morris was pronounced dead. The other driver remains in stable condition.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
