Professional Bio of Caio Natividade
Caio Natividade has built a notable career in quantitative finance and research, currently leading as the Managing Director and Global Head of Quantitative Investment Solutions Research at Deutsche Bank in London. Since his appointment in September 2019, Caio has been integral in guiding research across various asset classes and investment styles, emphasizing multi-frequency and systematic approaches.
Before ascending to his current role, Caio served as the Managing Director and Head of Cross Asset Quantitative Research at Deutsche Bank from January 2013 to August 2019. His leadership was pivotal in driving research initiatives that were recognized within the industry. This period was marked by a series of team achievements. Including accolades in the Institutional Investor All-Europe Fixed Income Research and at the Risk Awards.
From July 2007 to December 2012, Caio was the Director of Options Research in FX & Commodities at Deutsche Bank. Moreover, his tenure focused on derivatives and quantitative research. His team’s woracknowledged for its excellence with awards from notable industry publications.
Prior to his extensive and fruitful career at Deutsche Bank, Caio’s journey in the financial sector began as a Summer Analyst in the EM Currency Group at HSBC Global Banking and Markets in London in 2001. This initial foray into finance provided him with foundational experiences that would influence his later career.
In an entrepreneurial endeavor, Caio co-founded ComJunta.com (formerly known as ActAsOne.com) in February 2000 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Here, he engaged in market research, gaining early insights into the business world and startup culture.
Caio’s introduction to the world of finance and policy was as an Intern in the Financial Policy Section at the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, D.C., from October 1997 to July 1999. His time here was instrumental in developing his understanding of financial policies and international economic relations.
Beginning his professional journey as an English Teacher at Greenwich English Schools in Brazil, from January to July 1997. Caio honed essential communication and teaching skills that would prove beneficial in his later career.
