Howard Lake, MN – September 4, 2024 – Barbara Jean Hoppe, age 78, of Howard Lake, passed away tragically on Thursday, September 4, 2024, after being struck by a van while crossing Highway 12 in her hometown. Barbara was rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center, where she later passed away from her injuries.
Born and raised in Howard Lake, Barbara was a beloved member of the community. She lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and a deep love for her family and friends. Known for her warm smile and caring nature, Barbara was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Barbara enjoyed gardening, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was an active member of her local church and volunteered for various community organizations throughout her life.
Barbara is survived by her children, grandchildren, and many other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Hoppe, and her parents.
