Virginia State Police are investigating a tragic pedestrian crash that occurred on Saturday evening on Route 460 in Campbell County. The accident happened just before 8:30 p.m. when a 2013 Chevy Suburban traveling eastbound at the intersection of Scotts Farm Road struck a pedestrian. The individual, identified as 68-year-old Aniela Kowalczyk, was wearing dark-colored clothing while crossing the eastbound lanes. Unfortunately, after the initial collision, Kowalczyk was also hit by a Toyota Tacoma and a GMC Canyon.
Kowalczyk was pronounced dead at the scene, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
